It has been a few days since I dropped a few lines so here it goes. Christmas is approaching like a hurricane fast and swift. I have been out and about in the commercial chaos that surrounds it and I can't seem to find the excitement of Christmas that I usually do after all I consider myself an Elf. I enjoy Christmas and all that it represents, I guess my enthusiasm is not at its peak because I am focused on my trip back to the islands for Christmas. Yes you heard right my family and I are off to Barbados, Ethan has been talking and singing about it for some time now, I can't wait to see his face when he realises he is on an aeroplane. This week he was so excited to receive an E-mail from Santa, even Santa has become technology savvy, Ethan's eyes got wide and full of excitement watching that E-mail, thank you Jamie you made his week. Shopping for gifts has become such a pain I can't find anything in the sizes that I want all the good stuff is pretty much gone, considering I am on a time restraint. My sister-in-laws and I tried taking pictures of our kids in colour coordinating outfits compliments of Nana, all I am going to say is train wreck, Sahara kept crawling off and I had to bribe my son with candy to get a picture, the things we do to get that Christmas picture. I baked my treats today one came out great and the other was not like the picture in the food magazine so I decided to name it my rustic biscotti. (lol) it taste great. I am off to study for my lesson tomorrow, but I will drop a few lines before I leave.

Let it Snow

I love to sit and watch the snow, even play in it, but to drive in it it's a no no. That's what Jesse says and I agree. It was a wet, slushy weekend but Ethan and fun. I am still looking for a swim suit for my upcoming trip so we loaded the kids in the car went to Al's Sporting goods and there was one lonely swim suit, yet again no success too small, I have given up hope now on that wish. Ethan made the day better by wanting to play outside watching his face as he sees the snow yelling "Christmas is back mommy, Christmas is back". It's great that snow represents christmas for him at the moment, for us adults all it means the summer fun has ended and instead of being in the vegetable garden and eating what it produces, we shovel driveways and try not let the car slide of the road. But it was still a fun enough weekend, Sahara was jabbing away in Sunday school talking to everyone, she is starting to become a little more social. We decided to take a few pics of the kids out in the snow yesterday and they both had fun.

It's been a very productive weekend for me, Jesse and I got some much needed work done around the house as we start to prepare for the arrival of the snow. Sahara has been standing up without assistance most of the time and will soon be running, where does the time go I wonder. She will be one year in four months, Ethan will be three years a few months later. My tree is up and decorated, I thought I would have to keep Sahara away from it but she doesn't seemed very interested. Ethan is a different story, he is trying to redecorate it every day. Both the kids have colds and Sahara has a little fluid in her ear, which I have to keep my eye on, to make sure it does not become an infection. I am off to run a few errands and shovel the driveway. Dont you just love the snow.

Happy Holidays! This will be my third attempt at creating a blog. The first one was successful but I became delinquent in keeping it updated. So I decided to stop procrastinating and try again. I truly hope I can do better this time, it will allow my family who lives miles away to see what our kids and husband are up to. I can start with my daughters birthday, but I have decided to start with the fall since everyone is pretty updated with my facebook photos. I am by no means a woman of many words but my husband is so we will both try to keep our blog going.
